The four bright displays show the individual battery status with understandable and clearly legible LEDs. The peculiarity is that these displays are ergonomically tilted by 120 °, so you can always easily see the displays, regardless of whether you are looking at the charger from above or from a flat angle, for example when the one is sitting on the desk. The XTAR VP4 is a compact microprocessor controlled battery charger with 4 separate working compartments. The centrally located switch allows switching between charging currents of 250 mA, 500 mA or 1 A. The XTAR VP4 can be powered via the supplied power supply or the 12V car charging cable.
As for e-cigarettes, two types of battery are particularly interesting: 18650 batteries (charges 4 cells at the same time) and industrial 26650 cells (charges 2 cells at the same time).
The XTAR VP4 can reactivate deeply discharged batteries. This is done automatically via the detection and activation function. Of course, the XTAR VP4 stops the charging process as soon as a cell is fully charged. If the voltage drops below 3.9 V, the charging process starts automatically. Temperature monitoring, reverse polarity and short circuit protection, as well as overvoltage and undervoltage protection are additional features of the XTAR VP4
